Thinking bank camping with be the thing for awhile, and noticed all those round bumpy things take up a lot of good spots. Return to my mammalian roots and take to the trees, so I need some kind of camping hammock; I know nothing about these, but I expect I'll also be setting up under a much larger tarp. Ideas, tips, or suggestions please.

I'd definitely suggest a model with a built in bug net. Eno and Grand Trunk both make good hammocks, with Grand Trunk being on the lower end of the price range. I'd also suggest picking up some 550 parachute cord, if you don't already have some, and carry that to help string up your tarp/rain fly, as well as if your tree straps aren't long enough to hang the hammock. Just like tent camping, a good sleeping pad can be a good idea, since you have air flow under the hammock, and your back side can get pretty cool.
