Dustin, awesome video clips and stills! I enjoyed seeing what the two slots of S turn look like. I've always done that far right slot. Wasn't sure how it would be at today's water level, but you ran it so then I knew it was good to go.

Great pictures and video! You made it look like I almost knew what I was doing. All in the editing lol. You did very well. I was a bit worried at your drop into the weir, but you handled being offline in the crease and ran the runout well. Sorry to hear about your car on the return shuttle.

Dustin, your comment as David Bell ran the Weir was very charitable. I was also a bit worried when watching it. I would have been even more worried finding myself on that line. - Both David and Dan did quite well for first runs. Neither seemed to be in over his head (figuratively, if not literally, speaking). David King and Tony had a good day and seemed to run it as well as any of us.

Thanks guys. Climbed up on the rocks to watch Dustin's second run. Will have a much better idea of where to be next time. Thanks to everyone for the excellent job of guiding us newbies down the river. I had a blast and look forward to doing it again.

David, darn few folks have run the Weir without having ever stopped to scout it. The approach, though seemingly rather flat and calm, can be tricky (as you showed) and sometimes, especially at higher water, you get very little time to react between running the drop and the lower part. I often get out to look at it, even though I know exactly where to run, to make sure there is no debris in either part. Also I will not run S-turn first without looking at it for the same reason. So far I have not found any obstruction in either, but both look capable of hiding something deadly.
