Hey all... it's that time of year again to renew your WVWA Membership! If you are a current member & you haven't already done so, please pay your dues for 2015 by March 31st in order to not experience a lapse in your membership access/benefits.If you are not a member & you like being able to post on this forum & join us for our paddling trips, clinics, & events... please consider supporting the club & its volunteers that makes these activities possible by joining the club!WVWA Membership is $20 (online newsletters) or $30 (mailed copy of newsletters) (All memberships are for one or more persons living in the same household.) ALL renewals and new memberships, whether mailing a check, paying online, or paying in person, should go to: Memberships with unpaid dues for 2015 will be made inactive on Tuesday, March 31st At that time you will no longer have access to the Members Only sections or the Roster. You may still pay your dues after this date & your membership access/benefits will be reinstated. If you have any questions or need assistance with anything, as always, please don't hesitate to ask me. SYOTR, Thanks!!

Please note — mailed newsletter memberships are now $30 instead of $25 as they used to be. It was voted on in the November meeting because $25/mailed membership was not covering the costs to print & mail the newsletters. Also note, as stated above — if you want to join the club, but you want to pay for your dues in person at a pool session or meeting, please still fill out the online application either before or after you pay your dues & select the "pay by check via mail" option, even though you are paying in person. Your membership will be in "pending status" in the Roster after you submit your application until your money is received. This is the easiest/fastest way to get your membership added to the Roster, even if you're paying in person. Thanks! Thanks everyone for paying your dues & supporting the club! Enjoy 2015!!

If you're not sure if you're paid through 2014, 2015, or 2016 — check the Membership Roster (website menu under Membership » Roster) in the Dues column next to your name. If it says 2015 or later in that column, you're good – if it says 2014, you're dues are due. Thanks!

um Lauren - if there were 136 members in 2014, and 62 so far in 2015, doesn't that mean that 74 will expire?

There are a total of 204 currently active memberships. Of those, 136 paid dues for 2014 but have not yet paid their dues for 2015. If they do not pay their dues bu March 31st they will be removed from active status.
The totals can be found at the bottom of the roster.

You guys don't have to respond that you've paid – I'll get ya updated. (Everyone that has paid online or I've been told about that has paid otherwise, has been updated so far.) If you're wondering if you've been updated, just check the Roster & verify that it says 2015 in the Dues column. If you still see 2014, but you've paid – just wait a day or 2 & then if you want, you can send me a PM (Private Message). Thanks everyone! ( Matt Tucker, Jon Sheets, David Fairburn, Jeff Wright (& sons) — you guys have already been updated to 2015.) Alex Howden – yes, that's correct. But keep in mind (this goes for everyone) – if you pay in person, it will take longer for you to be updated, because the person you gave your money to has to relay to me that you've paid & turn in the money before I am able to update you. If you pay online, I get the payment notification right away. ( Marshall Klay – I need your pool session host to PM me...) (Alex, Marshall, & Justin Neil – please check your PMs!) Has any pool session host received dues money & not let me know yet? Please send me a PM, thanks! And Linda Barthwick – the 136 was not the total # of memberships in 2014 – that's just the remaining # of memberships that are only paid through 2014 & have not yet renewed for 2015. Make sense? Besides, my job is accounting, so you don't haveta worry about me.

If you want to pay by check, please make the check out to WV Wildwater Association and mail it to me at:
WV Wildwater Association c/o Chuck Brabec PO Box 273 Canvas, WV 26662-0273
I will deposit the check the day after I receive it.
If you mail the check to the club's PO box in South Charleston, it may take several weeks for Lauren and/or me to know about it.

I just deactivated 70 memberships. In the next week I will be working on manually adjusting access rights for each message forum account for people who are not paid through 2015 - if you can renew your membership asap, that would save me some time on doing this.
