My name is Josh Morgan, I am a fairly new boater with about a year of experience. I live around Pocahontas county. I have been down the Williams, the Cherry a few times and the Middle Gauley once. Im just looking to tag along with some people and learn as many skills as I can.

Welcome aboard, Josh. Do you have any insight on what is happening on Anthony Creek up your way? The gauge has been reading big numbers that don't make sense to me. A good level used to be 1 foot, but lately the gauge has been reading 6, 7, 8 feet for months. I assume the creek is running normal.
I am in Greenbrier County near Blue Sulphur Springs.

Gauge relocated. We need some local intel to re-calibrate.

I wonder where they found a place to get a reading of 7.8 ft on that creek. I need to get up there and nose around. Its a fun creek.
See you on the river, Josh

See you on the river, Josh The gauge has been moved 3 or 4 miles downstream. It's now located in a semi deep pool, and is visible from the road (there's a very new looking platform to house the transmitter). I haven't had a chance to get on it lately, but judging by what the gauge was reading during my last hike up there, I don't know that I would want to run it below 8'. That could be wrong, but I definitely don't want to have another trip of barely being able to pick my way through the low spots. You in town, Cliff?

Fascinating, bet they had to look hard for that spot.
Josh, its fun when it has water. Wood can be a problem in spots. But its probably totally different since I was last there.
Tony, I will be back in town this Friday the 26th and will be available to paddle thru the 4th. Friday I get Hughesnet just so I can check out the gauges and the Forum.

Id be down for any other novice-intermediate runs also.
