The shuttle bus and trailer have been reserved from ACE for the Bridge Day trip. We have 30 spots available. Let's fill it up!
The price is $16.00 per person. I'll edit with the sign up information shortly.
Signing up and paying gets you a seat on the bus from the Teays Landing takeout back to Cunard. It does not guarantee you a spot on a raft or other craft. Please try to coordinate the raft spaces (if there are any, no guarantee on that either) by letting folks know how many people you can accommodate. I'll do my best to keep track of that.
The pick up time at Teays landing will be 3:00. We won't be sitting in traffic while they prepare to reopen the bridge (commercial rafting vehicles are allowed to use the bridge during the event).
I'll start a thread with information on the trip separately.

Registration is now open. It is open to both members and non-members currently due to poor turnout the past few years. Sign up quickly to reserve your spot! The price is $16.00 per person. To sign up and pay please visit the following link: www.wvwa.net/cgi-bin/bridgeday.plAfter completing the registration form, your information will be saved in a file and you will be taken to the page to pay via Paypal. When a registration is submitted, you will receive an email with the info for the registration. The registration will be in pending status until confirmation of payment has been received by Paypal. I will lead an official club trip. First timers and some-timers welcome, but I can make no guarantee on water levels or weather conditions.

I have no raft, but I’m signed up to kayak. I can demonstrate the lines you should take and maybe a few you shouldn’t take.

I am pretty sure we can find a raft guide. If nobody else will, I will (some fine print level disclaimers here).

I just joined the club and signed up for the shuttle. First timer on the New, looking to kayak and get my PFD. Hoping to join up with some folks who can show me the way. Looking forward to Bridge day weekend.

I booked 2 seats for Andrea and I for the shuttle.. Not sure which boats or what our actual plan is yet. I will keep an eye on the thread I know we have several friends wanting to go but haven't commited yet. We also have not decided what boat we will be taking down. At a minimum we will take the phatcat or the shredder down.

If we don't get much more over the weekend, I'll make up a flyer to hang in the Ace Gear Shop next week.

Did he load one float bag or none? Well to tell you the truth, in all this Bridge Day excitement, I kind of lost track myself. But being that this is the New River, the most powerful river in the world, and would blow your spray skirt clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: “Do I feel lucky?” Well do ya, punk?

Hadn't posted the actual trip yet. Plan is to meet at 10 at Cunard and put on shortly after. Rafts may need a bit more time. Weather is looking good so far. If folks wan to go at other times, that's fine too. Just be at Teays at 3pm.

Tony O'Brien said he would bring his raft. I'm ready to help get it down the river. If he does not show, I'm still ready to lead a raft, but I don't have a raft. Anyone got a backup?

Also, could I get a quick head count on who would be on my raft? I’m hoping to get a buddy that’s new to the club on the raft if there’s room

Many thanks Tony! Ther are two folks looking for seats. Toni Hartley and David Partidge. Can you confirm space for them? If anyone else is looking for raft space, please confirm with Tony O before signing up. This is looking like the only raft.
