I'm very sorry but I'm going to be out on this one. My oldest son and his wife are due to have baby (my first grandchild) on the 29th. It is my intention to be there if at all possible. Sorry guys I'll get you next time. Of course if anybody would like to stop by my house on your way up and get as much firewood as you want, please feel free to do so.

Briar and I took a trip last weekend to check out the campground. There's a water faucet at both loops we think, but definitely on the loop of #'s 10- 33. That loop also had the nicest rv sites.

Pre and post clinic trips: Fri May 24 and Mon. (Memorial Day) May 27. These trips are a pre and post trip sandwiched around the beginner/intermediate clinic. I am going to keep this extremely simple. For both trips, we will meet at 10:00 am at the Curtain Bridge which is located at the confluence of the Cherry and Gauley. Which stretch of river (Cherry, Top Gauley, Camden on the Gauley, or paddling from or to Donaldson will be decided at the meeting spot, and also understand that two different trips may ensue on Monday, an intermediate trip and a beginner trip to accomodate the varying skill levels. The friday trip will be a scouting trip designed for the instructors or helpers to scout the river for the intermediate paddlers taking the clinic. Others are welcome to join in on friday but need to be self sufficient (experienced) on class II-III water. As stated before, the particular stretch selected will be water dependent. The meeting spot will not change unless the water goes below 11.2 feet on the Craigsville Gauge. If that happens then all bets are off on either day. There is a good chance the greenbrier or a stretch of the upper new will be utilized if that occurs.

I'll be there fairly early and hope to snag at least 2 spots. Bringing plenty of firewood, probably be good if someone could bring a maul or axe. Not sure about cell coverage there.

Tony has 5 campsites at Bishops Knob. You have to drive there from the Richwood side - the road is out from the other direction. We will meet at 10:00 at Bishops Knob for the clinic.

Just spoke to Tony D, can confirm that Bishop Knob has to be accessed from the Richwood side. Contrary to my previous post, I guess I'll be there come hell or low water, but I may have to come up early Saturday morning
