Date: 3/2/19 River: Upper Meadow Level: 1450 cfs Coordinator: Dustin Participants: Dustin, Kim, Sal, Brandon, Nelson Comments: The fog lingered all day, and the temperature never rose much over 40, but it was still a nice day to get out. It was so foggy we couldn't see Hurricane Ridge Rd that drops down to the river while going to the putin and returning on shuttle until we drove past the sign.
Not a large crowd, but a few more than I was expecting, which was nice. The water level came up a few 100 cfs overnight, putting the river at around 1450 cfs for the trip. It starts to get a little more pushy, holes get a little bigger/stickier, but still very fun.
Nobody seemed to have any trouble. I had one quick flip in a funky eddy at S-Turn, and Sal ended up in a few holes that he managed to work out of cleanly.
Most ran a little further left at the Weir. The left boof was more of a scrapy slide, but it worked out for everyone.
Didn't see anyone else on the river, but did see Bernie's truck at the put in. Thanks to Kenny for calling and letting me know about that trip in case I didn't get any takers.
Pretty good day overall. No video or pictures today unfortunately.
