National Youth Science Camp.
Hi Gang! We are looking for volunteers for this years Science camp weekend, I know the date could cause some problems but there really was not a better weekend considering what the boy scouts are doing in the area this year. Please take a look and see if you can make it and let me know if you will be joining us this year, also will need to barrow equipment again, Last year we were able to supply most everybody with good up to date equipment and I really appreciated that… very nice!
Scott Meadows was first to sign on as he is every year it seems. Thanks Scott! Always very supportive, So Check your dates and come out and show your support for a great program that we have been fortunate enough to be part of for many years… Good Stuff!!!
Thanks
Charlie Redington

Thanks to my 20.00 friends, this post started off rough but seems to rebounding a bit... thanks for all the offers of equipment and help...sounds like it could be a little more challenging to get the people needed for this event but I am sure like in past NYSC events it will all come together. For those of you that are volunteering I still need you to fill out the form to keep it all official please. www.wvwa.net/science_camper.shtmllets go boating!

Ok, I have been approved to submit leave for the 5,6,7, of July. I'm going to buy a complete set of gear for my Dagger boat so my daughter (15 yo) can start using it but that will not be til the end of the summer as she is currently doing Upward Bound at WVSU. So I'll have a boat with gear to provide, plus I can help and you can use my band new 6' X 12' box trailer to haul boats. Call me if there is anything else I can do to help. Best time to call is at night since I'm back on the road and currently on night shift. Later Danno

Volunteers can bring their forms to the Club Meeting & Pool Session tonight at Ridgewood Pool, if that's easier/faster than mailing. You can also fill out the form online. You can find a link to both the online form or to print out the form HERE. (If you need directions to the Ridgewood Pool, look at the Roll Sessions section on the Calendar.)

Hey Gang! During the meeting last night it came to my attention that for one reason or another I am not getting all the forms people have filled out and sent in to me. I have checked my junk box and there are no over looked forms in there. Since the meeting Tom and Bridget have sent there info the old fashion way via E-mail. As of now I have forms from the following people: Scott Meadows,Matt Thompson,Harry Netzer,Tom & Bridget, David & Marylin,Dan Waller,Wes & Linda,Chuck & Nancy, lets go boating! Have about as many fully outfit ed loaner boats or duckies I would like to ask that if you do not see your name on the list but know you have filled a form out and sent it in or would have been planning on filling one out that you please send me an email stating just that and if you have extra gear to bring add that to your contact. ( Thanks)
MARKING AND IDENTIFYING EXTRA LOANER GEAR As far as extra gear goes, last year I found some bright green zip ties and attached it to all the gear I brought with me and it was very easy to identify my gear at the end of the day / weekend. Having your name on your gear works as well if it does not wash off. ( a bit more challenging to identify sometimes but it works better than nothing) If you want it back ..put your sign on it! Thanks Everyone!

Linda & I won't be arriving until Saturday afternoon in time to pick up and deliver dinner. We do have complete outfitting for a camper (already counted) that needs to be transported to the river for Saturday. Who has room to transport it. We can deliver either Tuesday or Wednesday. We will be busy at the Lincoln County Fairground from Wednesday evening until we leave for Fayetteville on Saturday afternoon.

We have 17 volunteers for Saturday and 17 volunteers for Sunday / 19 boats / 2 sit on top / 3 inflatables
Sorry! It is rather obvious I am not taking enough time with my post…I try not to be on my work pc for very long and I miss a lot of detail.
Our goal is to get 30 volunteers to guide 30 Campers down the river each day. Still need boats...So we are better than half way there. I understand this is a holiday weekend and strictly voluntary.
Thanks to all who have come out in the past to help make this a wonderful event...Can't stress that enough! lets go boating!

Hi Gang! I had a paddle go MIA last year (or the year before?) So can folks check their spare gear for a *big* Norse paddle, white blades/red shaft, with the name "REESE" emblazed upon it. I will be assisting on 7/7 only.
Thanks! -Andy

Charlie let me think overnight and I can give you a for sure tomorrow.(Plus have to talk it over with the wife) I have to debate how much sleep I will be getting if I come up to help.. Working nights really does afford me the spare time during the day provided I can catch a few hours to nap before hitting the river and getting back to work. If you could give me ballpark river times that would be a great help in planning for me. Email gillespie18@marshall.edu phone 304-617-6024

Are right Charlie, I got my Dagger Outlaw with a full set of gear (the works) for you to use. The gear I bought for my teenage daughter so I hope it well fit a student well enough. Plus I can go on the water with you guys in my Remix. And as stated before, I have a band new 6' x 12' box trailer that can securely haul 20+ boats. I'm off Friday and would like to get to the camp site early and setup. So where is the camp site again????? If its the Army Camp site I know how to get there. Anywhere else I'm kinda lost.....
